This role involves verifying that products meet strict criteria for sourcing, handling, and labeling, while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site and remote audits of farms, processing facilities, and supply chains.
- Verify compliance with "Product of USA" standards, including origin, handling practices, and labeling requirements.
- Evaluate agricultural practices, documentation, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports, detailing findings and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal certifiers to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance improvements.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of U.S. agricultural standards and compliance regulations, including USDA guidelines.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills to handle complex compliance evaluations.
- Familiarity with pesticide, hormone, and organic certification standards is a plus.
- Ability to travel for on-site audits as needed.
